How We Bring Renewal
At The Renewal Initiative, we believe restoration happens when people show up – in war zones, in trauma, in broken systems – with compassion and courage. We focus on three primary avenues of renewal:
TEAMS
CAMPAIGNS
PROGRAMS
Teams
Our Renewal Teams are made up of volunteers from diverse backgrounds–medical professionals, therapists, pastors, musicians, artists, and more–who travel overseas to support local communities. Each team is tailored to meet specific needs on the ground, offering practical help, emotional care, and relational support. Whether you're offering trauma counseling, praying for soldiers, packing medical kits, or distributing food packs, our teams bring hope through presence.
Short-term teams. Long-term impact.
Campaigns
Timely action. Innovative solutions.
Campaigns are flexible, time-bound initiatives designed to meet specific needs or test potential programs. Some mature into long-term programs – others are exactly what’s needed in a moment of crisis. Our campaigns allow us to respond quickly, partner creatively, and learn as we go.
Examples:
International Nurse Respite Program, which was scheduled to launch in the summer of 2025, but was paused due to complications with the Russia-Ukraine war
Humanitarian aid (food, medicine, hygiene items, clothing)
Time-bound advocacy initiatives
Programs
Ongoing support. Local empowerment.
These are our long-term commitments – projects that meet ongoing needs and grow with the people we serve. From trauma-informed children’s programs to medical aid, our programs are rooted in consistency, care, and local leadership.
Examples:
Renewal grants for caregivers
Kids LEGO Club for children living in the midst of war
